Why there is a need for a Common Bank Entrance Exams ?

There are several factors that led the IBPS to conduct the Common Entrance Exams for Banks:

Time: As it is said that "Time is Money".Today the time taken by a bank to Complete its Recruitment process take 6-9 months which starts with inviting Applications for the post, then conduct Written Exam. After that Shortlisting candidates for  Interview, GD etc and there after the Final Section. There is hardly any Sunday passed on which we didn't have any bank exam.

So this is the major reason that only a single Entrance exam is conducted, on the basis of which candidates can be selected for the various posts in Public Sector Banks. Not only in words IBPS had made it in action also that the Result of the First IBPS Common Entrance Exam for PO/ MT was declared with in a span of 84 days, thanks to fast track system by IBPS.

Application Fees: As we mentioned earlier that On every Sunday or on every alternative Sunday we have a bank exam.Suppose if a candidate writes for 10 bank exams with application for each bank @ Rs 300  in then he/she will have to  spend Rs 3000/-.So a total wastage of money. On the contrary, Students will have to appear only once or twice in an year for Common Bank Exam there by saving his/her time as well as money.

Selection Procedure of IBPS Common Bank Entrance exam
